Who is TinBox?

TinBox Memories is a family. A family that started with these two people…

Rob & Trudy McAllister

My one-in-a-million grandparents.

This pair have always inspired my family and I to be the best, kindest and generous people we possibly can, always leading by a gleaming example.

They are the sole reason for the principles engrained into all of our lives and also where the TinBox name came from in the first place.

When my Mum (we’ll get onto her in a minute) started this business she instantly wanted her family morals to be right at the core.

My grandma used to keep all their family photos in a massive tin box for storing, and often, get the photographs out for the kids to look at. The box was full to the brim of the happiest memories of my Mum, auntie’s and uncle’s childhood, and that very vivid memory has always stuck with them. Since then, the McAllister clan have created all of this…

And so the name ‘TinBox Memories’ is born,

(as were lots of babies)

As you can see, family mean everything. I’ve never actually met another human who loves their family as much as my Mum does. She once said that her ideal day is just having her ‘whole family in once place, eating and just having fun’. You can actually see the joy in her eyes when we are all in one place, which sadly is very difficult to do these days - so when it does happen, someone is taking pictures because memories are so precious to have, no matter the circumstance.

I have so much to thank my Mum for, but one of them is for creating TinBox from the ground up and letting me be a part of it from the beginning.

Please meet my Mum, Liz (Elizabeth, Lizzie, Auntie Liz, Grandma)…

“After seeing a friends engagement video (I didn't even know that was a thing!) I was full of awe. It was so beautiful, and I thought to myself ‘I can do that’. I went out and bought some camera kit on a credit card (yikes) and started to film film film until I was confident enough to cover my first wedding in 2012. It went swimmingly and the bride and grooms reaction made me want to peruse this as a full time business. 8 years on and I've filmed over 70 weddings, met so many new people, employed my daughter, gone way out of my comfort zone and I've loved every minute! However, it’s time for me to move on to different things, meaning that I’m handing TinBox down to my daughter, Bronte who has been working with me making films since 2013.”

TinBox Memories gets a new Company Director…

“As of the 1st December 2019 I became the proud owner of the company that myself and my Mum built from the ground up since 2013.

I am so honoured and proud to have been associated with this business so far and I’m so excited to now be running TinBox Memories. This is a dream come true and it wouldn’t have been possible without my Mum's creative flare, entrepreneurship and guts, and for that I will be forever grateful. I’m bursting with excitement to capture so many peoples weddings, events and memories on film, for them to keep and treasure forever. Supporting small businesses genuinely does make dreams come true. Hard work and determination has progressed the company to where it is today and intend to carry this forward in abundance! I love what I do and I can’t wait to build this business for myself, my family and my future.”
